Thanks for the comments on my blog. A couple of us are going to the do the Picture Book Reading Challenge in the next couple weeks: pick a day and read as many picture books as you can either at a bookstore or books from the library. Divide them into 3 piles and post April 30 on our blogs which books are in our "best" pile and why we're drawn to them so much - their qualities. That really helps figure out the kind of books we should write and how to write a "best" book. Do you want to do that too? April 30th is the day to post if you want to.
